Chive and Onion Cream Cheese

This chive and onion cream cheese is perfectly spreadable and can be double-whipped to make it ultra-light and fluffy. It’s perfect spread on a toasted bagel. My favorite is my version of a Tasty Turkey Bagel! It also makes a creamy and flavorful spread for veggie sandwiches, crackers, and appetizers

Ingredients

Regular, full-fat cream cheese makes a rich and creamy spread. You can use reduced fat, but it won’t be as creamy.

Heavy cream helps make the whipped cream cheese light and spreadable. If you don’t have heavy cream, use milk, half & half, sour cream, or plain Greek yogurt.

Dried minced onions for concentrated onion flavor that doesn’t get soggy.

Use fresh chives if you have them. They’re easy to grow in a garden or in pots! Use freeze dried chives if you can’t find fresh ones.

A pinch of salt makes those flavors pop!
