A fluffy chive and onion cream cheese spread that’s perfect for bagels and crackers. Quick, easy, and made with wholesome, simple ingredients.

Units Scale
  • 8 ounces of cream cheese softened to room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons chives (fresh or freeze-dried)

  1. Add the cream cheese, heavy cream, dried minced onion, and salt to a mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer with the beater attachments to whip the mixture on high until smooth and fluffy. Then, add the chives and mix them in.
  2. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to eat.

For double whipped cream cheese: Refrigerate the prepared chive and onion cream cheese for at least 1 hour. Then, use a stand mixer to beat the chive and onion cream cheese on high heat until fluffy.

Storage: Store in a sealed container for up to a week in the fridge. A pint jar or a pint deli container works great.
