Easy Homemade Grenadine Recipe (with Pomegranate Juice)
This homemade grenadine is easy to make with real pomegranate juice.

Grenadine is easy to make at home with real pomegranate juice and sugar. It’s gorgeous and way more flavorful than the store-bought stuff. Plus, it’s dye-free. Once you try this grenadine recipe in a cocktail or a Shirley Temple, you’ll never buy a bottle from the store again!
Ingredients

- 100% Pure Pomegranate Juice: I prefer the POM brand in the refrigerator section. Just be sure to pick one that’s truly 100% pomegranate juice.
- Sugar: Regular granulated sugar, turbinado sugar, or demerara sugar all work for this recipe.
- Orange Blossom Water: It adds a lovely floral aroma that ups the complexity of this syrup. This is totally optional, and you may have to order it online. I ordered it from Amazon.
How to Make it
You’ll need a fine-mesh strainer, cheesecloth, funnel, saucepan, and a clean glass jar.

Add the pomegranate juice, orange blossom water, and sugar to a small saucepan. Then stir over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved.
Allow it to cool completely before using.
Storage
Store in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
