Ingredients
- 1 apple
- 1 naval orange or 3 mandarins
- 1-inch knob of fresh ginger
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 10 whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 cups of water
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients and cover with water. Bring to a simmer over medium-low. Reduce heat to low and simmer away. Check periodically and add more water as it evaporates.
- Or, combine all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on high with the lid off. Check periodically and add more water as it evaporates.
