Ham delights are a Southern favorite. This updated classic uses honey-dijon butter, everything bagel seasoning, and sweet Hawaiian rolls.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Honey Dijon Butter Spread

  • 4 tablespoons softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of everything bagel seasoning

Assemble the sliders

  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan
  • 1 12-count pack of Hawaiian-style sweet dinner rolls, sides attached
  • 8 ounces sliced deli ham or glazed ham
  • 4 ounces deli-style sliced Swiss cheese(6 slices)
  • 4 ounces deli-style sliced cheddar cheese (6 slices)

Topping

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350

  1. Spray the bottom and sides of a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Add the softened butter, honey, dijon, Worcestershire, and everything bagel seasoning to a small bowl. Stir together and set aside.
  3. Slice the entire thing of rolls in half horizontally without pulling them apart. They should look like 1 giant hamburger bun.
  4. Spread honey dijon butter on the inside of the top and bottom halves of the rolls.
  5. Place the bottom layer of the rolls in a baking dish.
  6. Cover the bottom with a layer of sliced ham. Then, layer on both kinds of cheese.
  7. Place the top layer of rolls on.
  8. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle them with the remaining 2 teaspoons of everything bagel seasoning.
  9. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 20 minutes until hot and melted.
  10. Remove from the oven. Leave the foil on and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  11. Remove the foil. Use a serrated bread knife to slice through the ham and cheese and cut into individual rolls.

Notes

  • Serve them hot.
  • If you want to make them ahead of time, you can assemble and cover them with foil the night before. Bake them when you’re ready to serve.
  • You can double the recipe (use 24 rolls) and bake the whole thing in a 9×13 baking dish.
