The best fluffy and sweet 3-ingredient whipped honey butter. Spread it on bread, biscuits, rolls, muffins, waffles, and fried chicken.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 sticks of butter (1 cup), softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Add the softened butter and salt to a medium-sized mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer.
  2. Use the beater attachments on a hand mixer or the paddle on a stand mixer to whip the butter until light and fluffy. About 3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as you mix to make sure all the butter gets whipped.
  3. Add the honey and continue mixing until smooth and fluffy. Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl a couple of times to make sure the butter gets whipped and mixed with honey.

Refrigerate any leftovers.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature butter. Do not try to speed up the softening in the microwave. It will not get fluffy.
  • If you use salted butter, only use a pinch of salt in the recipe.

Variation

Make Honey Cinnamon Butter: Add ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon with the honey. It tastes just like the Texas Roadhouse butter.
