Ingredients

Units Scale

Horseradish Cream Sauce

  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

For the Sliders

  • Cooking spray or butter for greasing the pan
  • 1 12-count pack of Hawaiian-style sweet dinner rolls, sides attached
  • 1/4 cup Sweet barbeque sauce
  • 1 pound thin sliced deli-style roast beef
  • 8 ounces of deli-style sliced cheddar cheese

Butter Topping

  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350℉

Make the Horseradish Cream Sauce:

  1. Mix the sour cream, Dijon, lemon, horseradish, and salt in a small bowl and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Assemble the Sliders:

  1. Spray the bottom and sides of a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Slice the entire thing of rolls in half horizontally without pulling them apart. They should look like 1 giant hamburger bun.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls inside of the baking dish.
  4. Layer the roast beef on the rolls, then layer the cheddar cheese.
  5. Spread the barbeque sauce inside the top half and place the top layer on the sliders.
  6. Use a serrated knife to carefully cut the rolls into individual sliders. Be careful to keep the rolls pushed together. This will make serving easier.

Add the Topping:

  1. Mix the butter, brown sugar, and ⅛ teaspoon of salt in a small bowl.
  2. Then, brush it over the tops of the sliders.
  3. Sprinkle the dried minced onion evenly on top.

Bake and Serve:

  1. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil. Then, bake at 350℉ for 20 minutes until hot and melted.
  2. Remove from the oven. Leave the foil on and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove the foil and serve warm with the horseradish sauce.

Notes

They can be made up to 1 day in advance. Assemble the sliders and cover them with foil the night before. Then, bake them the next day before serving.
