Pink Smoothie (Berry & Yogurt)

This pretty pink smoothie needs 5 ingredients and 5 minutes! A tasty breakfast with 18 grams of protein. It’s loved by children and adults.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup whole milk Greek yogurt
  • 12 tablespoons honey*
  • 1/2 cup whole milk

Optional ingredients:

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a fresh strawberry to garnish

Instructions

  1. Add the frozen berries, yogurt, honey, milk, and vanilla extract to a blender. The frozen fruit should be closest to the blade. Pour the milk in last.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of milk and blend. If it’s too thin, add a couple of ice cubes and blend.
  3. Serve immediately and garnish with a fresh strawberry if desired.

Notes

*Adjust the honey to make it more or less sweet. 1 tablespoon will make a lightly sweet smoothie. Less than a tablespoon will be tart and sour but still delicious.

Variations

  • Switch up the sweetener: Use maple syrup or agave in place of the honey.
  • Make it vegan and dairy-free: Use coconut-based yogurt, plant-based milk, and maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Make a reduced-fat pink smoothie: Use reduced-fat milk and yogurt to reduce the fat and calories.
