Easy Oven Cooked Bacon

Crispy bacon cooked on a sheet pan in the oven.

16-ounce package of sliced bacon

Instructions

  1. Line a sheet pan with a big enough piece of parchment paper to cover all sides of the pan.
  2. Lay raw bacon slices in a single layer on the sheet pan. 
  3. Place in the cold oven, then turn the oven on to 400F.  
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, allowing the cooking to start during preheating.  
  5. Rotate the baking sheet and bake for about 5-10 more minutes. 
  6. Check frequently after the 5-minute mark and remove once brown and crispy.  
  7. Transfer bacon to a paper towel-lined plate. 

Notes

  • Cooking time will vary based on the accuracy of your oven, the thickness of your bacon, and how crowded the baking sheet is.
  • Wait for the baking sheet to cool slightly, then save grease if desired.  
  • The remaining drippings and parchment paper can be tossed for easy cleanup.
  • You can use multiple baking sheets to fit the amount of bacon you want to cook.
